The First Bootleg Version of the Buckaroo Banzai Soundtrack CD.

The Limited Edition Gold Soundtrack CD that is out there is a bootleg. There is no writing on the CD itself and the booklet consists of only one piece of paper with the logo from the book cover on front. The following text (which is the prologue to the film) is found on the back of the one page booklet :

Buckaroo Banzai, born to an American mother and a Japanese father, thus began life as he was destined to live it...going in several directions at once. A brilliant neurosurgeon, this restless young man grew quickley(sic) dissatisfied with a life devoted solely to medicine. He roamed the planet studying martial arts and particle physics, collecting around him a most eccentric group of friends, those hard-rocking scientists The Hong Kong Cavaliers.

And now, with his astounding jet car ready for a bold assault on the dimension barrier, Buckaroo Banzai faces the greatest challenge of his turbulent life.

...while high above the Earth, an alien spacecraft keeps a nervous watch on Team Banzai's every move...

According to Mike : "There are no notes in the front booklet (if you can call it that.) The inner booklet picture is Buckaroo at the microphone on stage, (looks like he's about to say "Hey, hey, hey . . ." The bottom reads "Original Motion picture soundtrack."

The back of the CD lists "1994 Yoyodyne Productions Limited" and "Produced by the Monkey Boys." The spine reads "Buckaroo Banzai Movie Soundtrack BB01."

The printing of the artwork was obviously made on a computer. Its pretty grainy and the text looks like it was done on one of those old daisy wheel type printers. The CD is bootleg TDK CD-R."

"I came across a CD of the Buckaroo Banzai soundtrack. This was packaged with the soundtrack to SATURN 3 (both on the same CD), and had reproductions of the two movie posters on the front of the insert, while the back of the insert has the promo for BB from the press kit (I believe),and a French poster for Saturn 3. I have included a scan of each side of the insert for your reference. Neither of the soundtracks are listed with track names...only numbers and times of each track.(Thanks to your FAQ, I can now attribute names to some of the BB tracks by comparing times with the listings from other BBCD's)..... BB has 11 tracks:

A Fifth Bootleg Version of the Buckaroo Banzai Soundtrack CD.

This Special Edition Compilation Soundtrack was released in 1998 by 8th Dimension Industries. This CD contains "enhanced" CD-Rom material including 46 dialogue tracks, 5 video files (including the lost "parent" scene and theatrical traler), scans of the postcard set, presskit photos and extras, links to 20 Buckaroo Banzai websites, and the movie script)
